Local London Places and 16 Coloured Balloons, 2012, examines the relationship between camera and performer.

Manipulating the camera apparatus the artist places herself as both the recorder and the subject. Using the city as her stage, she performs among other unwitting performers. Calm gives way to struggle, inevitably leading to moments of release that break the held breath. Puncturing the landscape with a corresponding palette of colour, the balloons unwillingly hold centre frame amongst planned and unplanned moments of alignment.
